Amazon.ca have begun listing it’s Wii U games which feature (what could be) the final design for its game covers.

If you haven’t noticed by now, the box art shares an eerie similarity with Gamecube games–something I totally dig.
Assassin’s Creed 3 for Wii U is listed for an October 30th release date which suggests that the system may hit sheleves as early as that. But it could also be the case of the game arriving before the console (similar to Kameo on Xbox 360) which is something I really hate. Nothing is worse than buying a game and starring at it while waiting for the system to arrive.

So the next-generation console is releasing current-generation games with box styling from two generations ago. Well done, Nintendo.
