Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid 5…..CONFIRMED!

He’s back, the character that not even his creator, Hideo Kojima, could kill (no seriously).

Solid Snake in MGS5 has been confirmed by Kojima himself, stating that the game will also use the new Fox engine. Kojima went on to say that Revengance is just a spin-off title, and that the story for Solid Snake has not ended yet, despite him wanting to kill him off in Guns of the patriots.

Here are the translated quotes from the French ‘IG Magazine’:

“…there will be a Metal Gear Solid 5 with the new FOX Engine…Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance never claimed to be a Metal Gear Solid. This is not a game about our beloved Solid Snake. It is a spinoff that tries something different. We have not yet finished with Solid Snake, despite the fact that I wanted to let him die at the end of Guns of the Patriots.”

We will post up the rest of the translations, once we find a good one!

The question is, will he be a main character or play a similar role… to the horrors.. of MGS2…

Any Admin of GameOverview, please spread the word about this petition! Make a blog post or share to your friends or anything. Dark Souls on PC is going to be on GFWL instead of Steam! That unholy wreck known as GFWL is going to destroy the PC edition of Dark Souls! It sucks!

koohejix Dark Souls will not use GFWL anymore, it’s been confirmed that it will implement Steamworks when it’s released.
More on topic, I’m very excited for the new engine although I’m almost certain that this game will be a next-gen release.

Seriously? Because that is good news! I hope GFWL dies out, because I hate seeing more games being ruined by it! BTW on this topic, I’m unsure whether I’m going to be disappointed or not, since it throws a lot of the classic MGS formula away, but knowing Kojima, it’s going to be awesome!
