I bought the Wii for Pikmin 3. Now they are probably announcing it for Wii U. as big of a fan of Pikmin, I don’t think Id shell out money for another system. the Wii has done nothing but collect dust. I am no fanboy I respect all systems, however with the Wii i felt let down due to lack of games. It seems that gamers like myself were not the target market with Nintendo’s last system.
Ironically, they’re trying to do the opposite with the WiiU (well, actually they’re trying to appeal to both audiences). Wait till they announce the launch lineup and Tuesday and if you’re still not sure, then wait for a price drop/more games to come.
I’m hoping Nintendo does right with this console.
