Final Fantasy 14 Will Be Reborn This Winter

The long awaited version 2.0 to Final Fantasy 14 will be arriving this winter on PC & PS3. The new update, now dubbed A Realm Reborn, is promising to give players a new experience and fix all the issues that plagued the MMO title.

Players who purchased the Final Fantasy 14 in 2010 were quickly displeased at its shallow gameplay mechanics and limited freedom. The game was so terrible that Square had to hold off the PS3 release until it was fixed. It seems now the company is confident that this new update will meet the expectations of players evident with its PS3 release date.

Since announcing our plans for the future of the title last October, we have been working tirelessly to include all of the elements that we have promised in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn,” producer/director Naoki Yoshida said in a press release. “This new title not only becomes a symbol of a completely new Final Fantasy XIV, but also marks the beginning of a new stage as the latest title in the Final Fantasy series. I hope you’re looking forward to it!

Let’s hope it good. Two years is long time waiting to fix a game you already bought.
