TGS 2012: Rockman Xover Trailer Hits You Where it Hurts

rockmanxover_post

Rockman Xover sure has a lot of negativety surrounding it. Whether if it’s the poor presentation, iOS game or Social RPG aspect, the facts are pretty straight forward: no one wants to play Rockman Xover. The fans have been asking for a “proper” Mega Man title for quite some time especially after all that drama. Instead we are treated to this trailer that seems to diminish are hopes even further.

Title should read: “How to show that you don’t care”

It’s pretty obvious from the trailer that this is yet another rushed job from Capcom to “show” fans they care about Mega Man (which obviously ends up back firing). Even after all this crap I’m still willing to give Capcom a chance this December, while they probably won’t have any big new Mega Man games to show off they should at least present something substantial. This kind of attitude ain’t gonna cut it.

Over-1 looks cool but he needs more storyline then just kill, absorb.

If they wanted to have a Social RPG “MegaMan” game, why didn’t they just do something in the MegaMan Battle Network series? That game series has the story already set up for your own customized character, for socialization, and the name MegaMan wouldn’t have to be deminished because everyone is one.

*sigh* At least don’t cancel this one, if just for the sake of having SOMETHING new out…

The title is code for “Rockman’s Over”.

Did anyone else notice they left out the Megaman from the Legends series?

Not until you said it joe. Now that really is a spit in the face…

They have had SO MANY chances to restore my faith in them since MML3, more than they deserved, but this is the final insult…

So this is their idea of fan-service??? I don’t know how to feel, obviously they can do better by bringing back Megaman Legends 3, the title RockmanXover is quite suggestive, is Megaman finished???? I don’t like that………

If you pause it also when they are doing all the titles and take it slow. Not one MML Title either. I think Capcom is telling us MML is not a real Mega Man Game. That is bull and if Capcom think they can make ever one for get about MML Think again. A friend of my wants to go to Capcom HQ and Paint a Giant MML on the side of the building to show them MML will always be remembered

If you pause it right at the exact moment you can see Capcom killing the MegaMan franchise.

Guys, you can clearly see Megaman from MML at the end, on the right… Regardless,I agree. Looks boring. Just give us MML3!
