Mega Man 2 Beaming Down on 3DS Virtual Console

mm2_post

The popular Mega Man 2 from the NES will be arriving August 8th on the 3DS e-shop in Japan. No official news have been given regarding a western release, but I’m sure Capcom wouldn’t pass up on this all time classic.

Man Fans regard Mega Man 2 the best in series for it’s challenging levels and memorable chiptune soundtrack.

Uuuuh hellooooo, capcoooom. I’m pretty sure I can speak for plenty of megaman fans out there that we want something new? Am I the only one here tired of capcom screwing us over? I’m just sayin…

the real fans played megaman 2 like million times! we want megaman x9, megaman legends 3.. or a new megaman battle network game! that would be neat!

Ahem… no, dude. No new Megaman BN games, thanks. You’re alone on that request. Although everything you said is the real truth: there’s no megaman fan that hasn’t played megaman 2. It’s sad that we as the fanbase, are able to just look backwards “enjoying” nothing but remakes and compilations and sh*t.

Um. No, he’s not alone. MMBN is a great series. You’re just too clouded by nostalgia to think anything else of it. Try playing the game competitively, or actually accepting what it is.

okay, we have to admit, BN are not-that-bad series, but you’re right. I have mobile version of megaman 2 and 3

BN series are fun and possibly my second favourite MM series. At the same time I can’t help but feel that it’s been overdone to death.

I honestly would hope that Capcom would give us Legends 3 (just to break off) and maybe even something new.

Not sure if I should buy this to show support for the Mega Man series or if I shouldn’t buy it to show lack of support for Capcom being complete fuckheads lately.

Best in the series, my ass. The stages weren’t challenging. They were easy, but could still force you into a deliberate Game Over. That’s bad. That’s very fucking bad. 3 and 4 were easily the best. Why release a game that practically everybody owned back in the day on a new generation console without touching on the negatives? What’s to stop people with common sense from forgetting this and getting out their old NES, or even just emulating it. (It’s not illegal if you already own it, and even if you don’t who’s stopping you?) SquareEnix is able to survive their own idiocy. Capcom will crash hard if they don’t pick their shit up off the floor.
