Capcom Reassures us (yet again) that Mega Man is NOT dead.

megaman_staytuned_post

With Mega Man’s anniversary slowly approaching next month, many are beginning to wonder if Rockman (Mega Man) Xover will really be the final nail in the coffin for the blue bomber. Well, Capcom USA wanted to let us know that it ain’t Xover. Senior vice-president, Christian Svensson, gave some reassuring words regarding the blue bomber’s fate and about his upcoming anniversary.

I can say with certainty that you’ve not seen the last of the Blue Bomber on consoles and handhelds, and, with luck, we’ll be celebrating his 50th anniversary, including all of the games you’re going to enjoy over the next 25 years.

To avoid any heartbreaks, he also wanted to make it clear that  Mega Man games will only be announced once they have been green lit  I certainly don’t wanna go through another Legends 3 scenario.

That said, an issue we’ve had in the past has been talking about games and announcing them before we’re certain they’re going to come out, which unfortunately has lead to profound disappointment for many fans. So for now, I’m going to have to stay mum about any details

So there you have it. I am hopeful that Capcom will some day bring back the Blue Bomber. I just certainly hope he won’t end up like this ( caution: if you have any children in the room then make sure to cover their eyes before clicking the link).

All we wanted was Legends 3. Give us what we want, and you get our money. Do you hate money, Capcom?

Don’t care about anything Capcom spits out but Legends 3. Even if it’s Megaman related.

I want to see a new Megaman game (classic or X), but im worried that Capcom would make only more compilations of the existing games, there are a lot of them -.-

50th anniversary? I’m fairly certain that there were no Mega Man games in 1962. Or any video games at all, for that matter.

All I want from them is mml3. I would rather keiji inafuma’s bought the rights from HIS character and made the game with his company instead. Anyway, give us MML3 and then capcom will have my permission to die. They can rot for all I care…

He’s referring to the FUTURE 50th anniversary. Nick. -_-
