The Evil within is a survival horror game that’s being developed by Shinji Mikami’s Studio “Tango Gameworks”, or you might also know him as the guy who made the Resident Evil series.
Here’s a short description of the story:
Detective Sebastian and his partner rush over to the scene of a bloody and gruesome mass murder, something powerful is lying in wait for them as Sebastian witnesses the killing of his fellow police officers one by one Sebastian is then attacked and loses consciousness only to wake up in a land where monsters walk the earth and wandering about, while having no clue on how to leave such a place, he has to fight his way out and has to also deal with his close friend’s madness in order to understand what the hell is going on.
Sebastian has to face his fears and fight through the shadows of the dark world to discover what lies in wait for him in the shadows of that mysterious force.
With Shinji Mikami being a director, he’s thinking to make this game his final directorial work.
The weird thing is that Bethesda Softworks are the publishers of this game, I never thought that Bethesda would ever publish a Survival Horror game but I guess I was mistaken..
The game is set to release in 2014 for PC, Xbox360, Ps3 and the next-gen consoles!
