A recent Famtisu interview with Yoshinori Kitase has revealed that the team are in fact working on a new Final Fantasy 13 title. Not much is known about what the title would be called, but seeing as how Squareenix mention there will be no more DLC for 13-2 then we can all assume it’s the inevitable sequel– and the fact that 13-2 ended on a “to be continued”. The mystery title is said to be officially announced on September 1 at the Final Fantasy 13 press conference .
13-2 fixed a lot of the problems 13 had gameplay wise but the story and pacing of the adventure didn’t get me that engaged. I hope 13-3 would be the proper fix the series gets. Third time’s the charm, right?
