Capcom has recently announced a Lost Planet Spin off title for the 3DS dubbed E.X. Troopers. To make itself more distinct, the game will feature anime style graphics and faster paced–run and gun–action (with Jet packs!).
Looks pretty cool, right? Well, it seems some gamers around the net felt it looked very similar to another game…

While all of this is pure speculation, one can’t look at the two without noticing some uncanny resemblance. Mega Man Legends 3 was being developed for the 3DS but was later cancelled due to “not meeting the criteria”. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Capcom did reuse the assets, both games are colorful 3rd person shooters and it would make more sense to start with something sitting on a hard drive then from scratch.

One viewer managed to notice a very strong similarity between these two characters.
Left = Lost Planet. Right = Mega Man Legends 3.

if you also notice the guy on the left is orange with a blue jetpack while megaman is blue with an orange backpack

The physics look pretty similar in a lot of the gameplay clips. It’s more than just the one character. I’m not saying it’s a complete rip off or anything, just that you are underselling it to try and make your point seem stronger.

anyone with half a brain can see their are key elements that are very similar to the legends franchise. you can go ahead and put in your two cents, but if your going to insult people take it somewhere else

Any ways yeah EX troopers is clearly just Legends 3 because Capcom just wanted to cut corners and make a spin off to a series that every one thought they killed off by turning it into the most cliched crap ever
