One of the most interesting things that Nintendo has displayed in E3 is the “Mario Maker.” How interesting would it be to actually create your own Mario Levels, make them ridiculously difficult, creative and entertaining, or maybe just impossible to beat (literally.) It is also interesting how you can shift between 2D and 3D. I’d personally go for 2D if I were to create a ridiculous level. Nothing like getting your behind served to you on an 8-bit platter.
Wasabe has mentioned that the classic Mario Paint package on SNES came with a music creator that is still being used to create 8-bit music due to how beautiful the final result is. This success should be taken into consideration in regards to the release of “Mario Maker” as the inclusion of such package would most likely generate similar success.
Regardless, though, the idea of Mario Maker itself is pretty exciting and I can’t wait to get my hands on it!
