But, those activities has been paused and fans of StarCraft 2 has lost the opportunity to try out their favorite RTS game.

Currently, official reason has not been announced. According to Chinese law, all game presentation events and all game contents such as advertisement, presentations… of foreign games must follow the imported games law and must pass a series of strict rules.
According to online communities, the reason may be because StarCraft 2 is “too violence” and “may have bad effect to young people”.
This is not the first time products of Blizzard have been prohibited at Chinese. World of WarCraft used to be restricted because it’s violence level.





It’s a safe move as the financial crisis make customers more conscious and choosy, especially at the end of the year.
