This is a list of promising games that won’t make it in 2009:
BioShock 2
Scheduled for November 2009, BioShock 2 has been delayed to the first half of 2010. According toTake-Two, there are no real reason for the delay and they just need time to finish it carefully.
The Developer of the first game won’t come around this time. Now, the game has four separate developers working together and the forth one just begin to work. It’s unbelievable to think that the game will be finished this year.

BioShock bring up a new approach for an old genre. Fans have been disappointed by this news. But, it’s better this way than rushing to release an unfinished and buggy product.
Red Dead Redemption
Everyone’s favorite reason: publisher and developer want more time to make maximize the game’s potential and to satisfy their customers. That generic reason just put this TPS (Third person shooter) further into the future (2010).
But, it’s not surprising because Red Dead Redemption has just been announced at February and it’s just too soon to finish a polished game.

Similar to BioShock 2, they don’t want to take the risk and ruin great series. They choose the safe way. “GTA of the West” will be delivered to gamers at April 2010.
Splinter Cell: Conviction
Announced, greeted and delayed. This is what Ubisoft do for their famous stealth action title. Reason? A logical one: they want to realize their ambitions and satisfy strict fans.
Actually, Splinter Cell: Conviction is very different than the previous versions (according to the trailer at E3). It’s easy to understand that Ubisoft need more time to finish this game. But, there are rumors that they want to take Splinter Cell: Conviction to the PS3 Platform.

Gamers will have to wait for the return of Sam Fisher at the first quarter of 2010.
Red Steel 2
Another game of Ubisoft won’t make it in time. But, they don’t announce the exact reason to delay the arrival of this famous game of wii platform from November to the first half of 2010.

There are many games will be arrived at the end of the year and not many gamers willing to pay continuously, especially when there are so many things to buy and so many financial problems to solve.

The first version of Red Steel has been rated really low for a lot of bugs and frustrations. According to Ubisoft, they has fixed most of its weaknesses. May be that is why they hope Red Steel 2 will become a success in 2010.
To be continued…
