According to Take-Two, they need more time to ensure that BioShock 2 meet up with fan’s expectation.Although having 4 developers working together, BioShock 2 still need more time to complete. BioShock 2, along with Mafia 2, Max Payne 3 and Red Dead Redemption will be leading title of Take-Two in 2010.
Chairman of Take-Two confirmed: “"That said, we concluded that moving the release of BioShock 2 into fiscal year 2010 was the right decision for the product. We believe the result will be a more compelling consumer experience and a better performing product in the marketplace. At the same time, near-term retail conditions have proven to be more challenging for our business than the assumptions built into our prior outlook."
CEO of Take-Two added that it’s not an easy decision but they thinks they need to invest more time for the game to ensure satisfactory of the title fans.
It’s a safe move as the financial crisis make customers more conscious and choosy, especially at the end of the year.
